Still to steam tens years ago car “Volga” which official cost made about 16 000 Soviet roubles was dream of the ordinary Soviet motorist. But times vary, and today already surprise nobody travelling about on roads of our country Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bugatti. It is possible to tell with confidence, that at the majority of inhabitants at the sight of the car allocated from crowd, the first thought flashes: «And how many« it »costs?» We will try to understand, the car, naturally, not “Zaporozhets” or “Muscovite”, and what it is accepted to name “superpenalties” how many can cost.
The most expensive new cars
So, to begin with we will turn a look on new avto. Here magazine “Forbes” has succeeded in classification of the most expensive cars, and to compete with it, offering the list, I think, it is not necessary. We will be limited to citing of list TOP-10 of the most expensive cars of 2006, according to magazine “Forbes”, we will compare it with TOP-10 cars of 2005, and also we will result some characteristics of these cars.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4

Bugatti Veyron 16.4, the country: France, the price: 1 000 000 euros (apprx. 1 300 000 dollars), the engine: 1001 h.p. of 16 cylinders, in 2005 in a rating was absent.

Pagani Zonda Roadster F C12S 7.3

Pagani Zonda Roadster F C12S 7.3, version Clubsport, the country: Italy, the price: 667 321 dollar (world), the engine: 650 h.p., in 2005 2 place in a rating.

SSC Ultimate Aero

SSC Ultimate Aero, the country: the USA, the price: 654 500 dollars (USA), the engine: 1046 h.p. V-8, in 2005 in a rating was absent.

Leblanc Mirabeau, the country: Switzerland, the price: 543 000 euros (apprx. 706 000 dollars, world), the engine: over 700 h.p., in 2005 in a rating was absent. (It is possible, because of rate fluctuations of currencies this car has occupied 4, instead of 3 place).

Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, the country: the USA, the price: 535 000 euros in Europe (apprx. 695 000 dollars), in the USA 555 000 dollars, the engine: 750 h.p., in 2005 1 place in a rating.

Koenigsegg CCR

Koenigsegg CCR, the country: Sweden, the price: everywhere, except the USA, 458 000 euros (apprx. 595 000 dollars), in the USA 540 000 dollars, the engine: 806 h.p. V-8, in 2005 3 place in a rating.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, the country: Germany, the price: 452 750 dollars (USA), engine AMG-V8 with forced aspiration and capacity of 626 h.p., in 2005 7 place in a rating.

Maybach 62

Maybach 62, the country: Germany, the price: in Europe 376 200 euros (apprx. 490 000 dollars), in the USA 385 250 dollars, forced biturbomotor, 12 cylinders, capacity of 612 h.p., in 2005 6 place in a rating.

Porsche Carrera GT

Porsche Carrera GT, the country: Germany, the price: 440 000 dollars (USA), it is equipped by 5,5 litre atmospheric V10-engine, 612 h.p., in 2005 5 place in a rating. (Obviously and in this case lower place in a rating «than is necessary», is caused by rate fluctuations of currencies).

Maybach 57 S

Maybach 57 S, the country: Germany, the price: in Europe 362 000 euros (apprx. 470 000 dollars), in the USA 367 000 dollars, the engine: 604 h.p., in 2005 8 place in a rating.

Well, we will bring some result to ten the most expensive avto under magazine “Forbes” version. So, the cheapest car costs in the USA 367 000 dollars. In the list and again entered 3 7 participants of rating TOP-10 of 2005 are presented to a car rating, among them most expensive, by cost 1 000 000 euros.
The cars presented in a rating, are made in 6 countries, from them 4 in Germany, 2 in the USA, and on 1 in France, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden. Personally I am am surprised with presence at this list of Switzerland – the country which do not have a reputation for great automobile power. It is remarkable, that 8 presented cars are made in Europe, 2 in America and any in Japan or Korea. It is possible to tell, that the Asian motor-car manufacturers confirm once again image of production “cheap but good”.
Well, and the most expensive new serial car skidded in Book Ginnesa, is Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK-GTR, exhausted in 2004 and sold for 1 700 000 dollars.
